GACK!
Researchers found before walking down the aisle, couples have sex more than four times a week. After three years of marriage, most couples are lucky if they have sex just once every seven days. Other findings:

- 60% of couples believe marriage has completely ruined the excitement of having sex.

- 50% of all married people say their relationship with their partner is more like friends than lovers.

- 59% of couples believe their sex life has worsened since getting married because they no longer make an effort with each other anymore.

- 33% of married people no longer fancy their partner as much as they did in the early days, while 43% claim their loved one has let themselves go.

Sheesh. Bummer.

Rain moving in Saturday sure will help to clear the air! Thank goodness!

The Air Quality index is Very Low in Edmonton and warnings have been issued about humans and animals spending too much time outside. Please heed them! Personally I closed up the windows, stocked up on books and movies and am just chilling out. The dogs are going stir crazy, but better than sick.

If you want more information about whats going on, you can check out Bluesky. It's a smoke forecasting system used by Alberta and British Columbia. You can track the smoke at:

You can also check out the Air Quality index at Alberta Environment’s website: www.envinfo.gov.ab.ca/AirQuality/

Her sister says "has a guy ever asked you to leave after you've undressed? Muffin top at all? No..didn't think so...as far as he's concerned, you're naked, in his room, he's won the lottery!" Is that true? Whatcha thinking when you see her/him undressed?
Interested for Venus and Mars Wednesday!

Well there are a number of reasons I stay here. I love this city. I have made great friends, worked in two fantastic places (Global and JOE) why would I want to leave? It it me again this past weekend as I was driving thru the mountains on my motorcycle....god I love this part of the country. We are so very lucky to live so close to such awesomeness! The breathtaking Rocky Mountains bring me to tears everytime I am in them. To me they are what the Celtic call a "thin spot" the place I feel most connected to my beliefs, my creator, to the earth. They lift me up, they ground me. I am in awe.

No air coming in, no water anywhere, no way of cooling off? As the heat continues to build you struggle. But the more you struggle the hotter you get. Doesn't sound pretty does it? Unfortunately it happens way to often in parking lots across Canada when some people leave the animals, even children in locked cars on a hot day! Argh! Why? Idiots!

Yesterday I helped a woman who had spotted two small dogs locked in a van with the windows opened only a crack. Long story short, the Fire Department was called and the dogs owner was found. When I spoke with her, she said she had only been gone 20 minutes. In fact it was almost an hour...so I reminded her how hot a vehicle can become in such a short time. So often we just go flying through it all, forgetting to slow down or take a moment to let the people we truly know, care about and love how we feel. Often times we can't do it because it is too late...

Over the past couple of months I have been dealing with the slow death of a member of my family. I met her when I was 15 and over the past 25 years of my life she has become more and more important to me for reasons I wont go into here. So learning, or figuring out how to say goodbye has been a challenge.

For months I was too afraid to call and talk to her. Didn't know what to say. When I did call she put me at ease with her strength, her faith and ...

Fathers Day 2010

Fathers Day 2010.
I posted this last year around Father's Day. Thought I would share it again...since it is timely and from the heart.

It is that time of year when we honour the men in our life, in particular our fathers. So I thought I’d share with you part of a speech I wrote a little while back.

I was asked to present a keynote speech at the Men of Honour Gala. I was asked to define a “Man of Honour”.

Well, in my world, they are men who make other men better. Men who know the difference between right and wrong - then do the right thing no matter the cost. My speech touched on the unsung hero’s who volunteer their time. The men who lead by example in whatever they do. As well as the men (and women) of the Armed Forces past and present. Well, I ...

Very Cool...

Playing for Change is a multimedia music project created by producer and sound engineer Mark Johnson with his Timeless Media Group, that seeks to bring together musicians from around the world.
