This pink-nosed, golden-eyed gal has all the makings of a true diva, who likes to consider herself above common cats, worthy of worship and adoration from a forever home. Marci needs a bit of TLC; she appears to have nursed a litter of kittens and now needs the spa treatment to gain a bit of healthy weight and feel good again. Marci is a bit sniffy with the other cats in her shelter room, but is still getting used to things. Marci loves to be petted and adored and enjoys honeysuckle toys.

Va-Va is a handsome, solid black and white guy whose good looks are just the beginning of his sweetness. This guy is bewildered to find himself at the shelter, but ladies, he will melt your heart if you are looking for a guy to share your life! Va-Va, who looks like he dipped his nose in a vat of tar, has an instant purr and will rub his cheek into your hands as you say hi. He is shy about coming right out of his kennel at the shelter, but that doesn't stop him from sharing his affections with you, as he leans into your petting and kneads happily at his cushions. This warm guy has lots of love to share, and just needs the right person or people to give it to. He enjoys swatting at teaser toys, snuffling against catnip toys and ...

Garth Brooks

Garth Brooks (ID #51407) is a neutered male cat who just is 3 years old and has many “Friends in Low Places” here at the shelter. This guy is a fun-lovin cowboy who can be a bit shy when you first meet him but boy does he perform when he warms up to you!He likes to be scratched behind the ears and would love to be “Wrapped Up in You.”For more information on adopting Garth Brooks, please visit the Edmonton Humane Society today!Included in the adoption fee:- neuter surgery (done before being placed up for adoption)- Microchip- First set of vaccinations - and so much more!

With Easter around the corner, many people may start thinking about getting a chick or rabbit as a pet this time of year.
The Edmonton Humane Society (EHS) reminds the public that a chick is a farm animal that grows up quickly and can be extremely hard to care for as a pet, because they are not meant to be one. The EHS is against this kind of Easter "pet".
If you someone is looking to get a rabbit any time of the year, they are advised to only do so after careful consideration and research, and the Society asks that someone adopts from the EHS or a similar organization since a person would be provided with counseling and guidance to ensure that the pet will be a good fit for whoever the pet is for. In addition, all rabbits adopted from the EHS are spayed ...

Ginger the Guinea Pig

Ginger (ID #50902) is a female, spayed guinea pig who is 2 years old. Neighborino is a handsome boy with warm golden eyes and wonderful markings with white and gray fur. His fur is shaved, and he will require grooming as it grows back and for future knot control. Neighborino doesn't like being picked up but enjoys gentle attention while near you rather than in your arms. Listen to his body language/meows as he will let you know when he's had enough. Neighborino will do best in a more calm and mature home where he will have a chance to relax and be given the love and attention that he deserves!
