Minor Hockey Night

It's Minor Hockey Night! This always builds up to be one of the biggest crowds of the early part of the season as the Oil Kings salute Minor Hockey. Thousands of kids will invade Rexall Place decked out with their jerseys and will join the Oil Kings on the ice for a huge Honour Guard before the game and will participate in various experiences throughout the game. |
Teddy Bear Toss

It's the 4th Annual Teddy Bear Toss! Bring your new stuffed animals with you to the game and toss them onto the ice after the Oil Kings score their first goal. All donated toys will be collected for 630 CHED's Santas Anonymous. We set the Oil Kings record with close to 5,000 bears last year. It's time to blow that number out of the water. Don't miss another Battle of Alberta and help out a great cause. |
Red Deer Rebels Rematch

It’s a playoff rematch against the Red Deer Rebels. The Oil Kings and Rebels met in the first round of the 2011 WHL playoffs and added another chapter in the rivalry that’s building every time they meet. The game features two of the highest ranked defencemen for this upcoming NHL Entry draft with the Oil Kings Griffin Reinhart up against Red Deer’s Matthew Dumba. Who knows…there might be a Ryan Nugent-Hopkins sighting. |
Celebrity Night

They're back! The Hanson Brothers return to Rexall Place for some more zany antics on the ice. They'll be signing autographs from the start of the second period until the end of the game. Don't forget your Slapshot memorabilia. The game will also feature three Reinhart brothers as Griffin and the Oil Kings take on Max and Sam Reinhart and the Kootenay Ice. |
CN Hockey Hooky

The third annual CN Hockey Hooky. A Tuesday afternoon game with a built-in curriculum. Take an extended lunch and join the Oil Kings for an 11:30 a.m. puck drop against the Ice. There'll be educational content spread throughout the game as students learn about the history of the game in our City as well as the finer points of geography, math, physical education and some science. |
Scouts Sleepover Night

It’s our second annual Scouts Sleepover. Last year, over 1200 members of Scouts Canada enjoyed an experience of a lifetime that included a terrific Oil Kings game, a post-game movie on the big screen and then it was time to roll out the sleeping bags for a sleepover at Rexall Place. |
Minor Hockey Wrap-Up Party Night

The perfect wrap up to the Minor Hockey Season as the Oil Kings host a giant Minor Hockey Wrap Up Party. Thousands of kids have their season-ending parties at the Oil Kings game in what's always one of the highest attended games of the season. The Blades have one of the best teams in the WHL and have been ranked in the CHL top 10 most of this season. Fan Appreciation Night

It's the final tune-up before what the Oil Kings hope will be a long playoff run. It's the Oil Kings chance to say 'Thank You' to the fans. There'll be loads of prizes, live entertainment and another high-intensity tilt against our closest rival - the Red Deer Rebels. This will also be the final installment in our World Junior Bobblehead series.
